Airplane Luggage
Most items banned from carry-on or checked luggage in your home country are also restricted in China. If you’ve already boarded an international flight bound for China, those same bags can usually travel on domestic flights—power banks are the one notable exception.
Power Banks on Domestic Flights
On domestic flights within China, only power banks bearing the official CCC mark are allowed in carry-on bags. International flights to and from China don't impose this requirement.
All batteries — including power banks — must be carried in your carry-on bag. They're not allowed in checked luggage.
Power banks have a maximum capacity limit of 100Wh. Most power banks ≤20,000mAh are under this limit.
Power banks with 30,000mAh capacity are not allowed on some airlines, so we don't recommend carrying them.
The maximum number of power banks you can carry is 20 (each ≤20,000mAh).

If you're taking domestic flights in China, it's worth checking your power bank before you travel. If yours doesn't have the CCC mark, it's often cheaper and easier to buy a compliant one after you land than to risk it at security.
Power Banks on Trains
Trains have no such restriction — China's high-speed rail network lets you travel between cities without a second thought about your power bank.
