Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy describes the data flows currently used by China Travel Checklists and how to contact the site about them. You do not need an account or login to read the site, and there is no on-site contact or payment form.

Information you choose to send

If you email the published contact address, the message includes the email address and content you choose to provide. That information is used to understand and, where appropriate, respond to your question, feedback, or correction report. Email is delivered through Microsoft Outlook and is also subject to Microsoft's privacy statement.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics may process cookies or similar identifiers together with data such as page views, approximate geographic region, device type, and referral source. The site uses these reports to understand which guides are useful and where content needs attention.

Google explains how it handles information in its privacy policy. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

The site displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on visits to this or other sites. Google describes this use in its advertising policies, and ad personalization can be managed in Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

The site may use cookies for analytics and advertising purposes as described above. We do not set cookies for user accounts, preferences, or login sessions because those features do not exist on this site. You can delete or block cookies in your browser, although doing so may change how embedded content or advertising works.

Third-party services

Some pages offer YouTube videos through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed, which loads after you choose to play a video. YouTube may then process request, device, or playback data under Google's privacy policy.

Guides also link to third-party sites including Apple's App Store, Google Play, Trip.com, official government sites, and transport platforms. Following a link sends a normal web request to that provider, which handles information under its own policy. China Travel Checklists does not control those sites. See the disclosure page for the current commercial status of outbound links.

Questions about your information

For questions about these data flows or information you have sent by email, contact [email protected] or visit our contact page. The request may need enough information to identify the relevant email or interaction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
