Corrections Policy
A factual correction, a changed rule, and a formatting edit are not the same thing. This policy explains how we handle each one and what you'll see on the page.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with:
- The page URL containing the error.
- A description of what you believe is incorrect.
- If possible, a link to the official source that contradicts our statement.
You can also use our contact page.
How changes are classified
- Material factual error:if published information was wrong in a way that could affect a traveler's decision, the page is corrected, its updated date changes, and a dated correction note explains the error and the corrected information.
- Changed external rule: if the article was accurate when published but a government, carrier, or platform later changes the rule, the page and its updated date change. This is described as an update, not as an error in the earlier reporting.
- Minor edit: spelling, grammar, formatting, and broken-link fixes may be made without a correction note when they do not change the meaning.
How a report is assessed
We compare a report with the source cited on the page and, for time-sensitive claims, the latest version from the responsible organization. If the evidence is incomplete or conflicting, we may add qualifications rather than switching to a different claim.
Differences in itinerary preference or general travel opinion are not factual corrections. A reply to a report is not guaranteed.
